Achieve Flawless Transfers with These Easy Steps!

Follow our quick guide to ensure your transfers press perfectly every time.

Simple & Quick Steps

How to Press Your Transfers Correctly

As decorators you are faced with more challenges today when heat pressing transfers because of the variety of fabrics used. Following our tips will help you streamline the process and in return increase profit.

1. Adjust Your Settings

ALWAYS USE A COMMERCIAL HEAT PRESS! Home iron or hobby equipment do not provide even temperature and pressure that is needed to accurately apply our transfers. Set your time and temperature to the recommended settings that you receive with your transfers. Keep in mind these are recommended settings, time & temperature can vary depending on garments or heat press.

2. Load Your Garment

Lay your garment on to the platen and preheat the garment for 3 seconds to create a smooth/flat pressing surface.

3. Place Your Transfer

SCREEN PRINTED TRANSFERS: Place your transfer face down or right reading on your garment.

DIGITAL, VINYL & RHINESTONE TRANSFERS: Remove mylar backing, place your transfer right reading on your garment.

SUBLIMATION TRANSFERS: Place your transfer face down or right reading on your garment.

SUBLIMATED APPLIQUE: Place your applique right reading on your garment.

Press and peel your transfers according to the instructions provided with your order.

WARM PEEL: Peel off backing approximately 3-5 seconds after opening your heat press.

COLD PEEL: Allow garment and transfer to fully cool before peeling off backing.

Helpful Hints

KNOW YOUR FABRIC

Take the time to asses your fabric before application. Examples would be fabric makeup, color, dye migration, texture, coatings, and wash/wear durability.

KNOW YOUR TRANSFER TYPES

It is important to choose the correct transfer for your fabric type. Always specify garment type when placing orders to ensure the correct product is used.

TESTING TRANSFERS

We recommend testing on any new or unfamiliar products. You can cut your logo into sections and apply to avoid wasting transfers/garments.

PREHEATING GARMENTS

Always pre-press your garment to avoid shrinkage and remove extra moisture to get better adherence.
IF YOU HAVE ISSUES STOP!

ADHERING ISSUES

Test different times & temperatures. You are always best to decrease temperature and press longer if issues occur.
